Mary’s Gift Shop
Mary's Gift Shop was begun in 2002 under the direction of Father Richard Cash and parishioner Trish Johnson with the profits to go to "Sanctity of Life".
After some years of ups and downs, Rose Logsdon took over the management of the gift shop in 2007, and since then it has been flourishing.
Mrs. Logsdon changed the look of the shop, the pricing philosophy and inventory and made sure the gift shop was open after both the Saturday and Sunday masses, making it easier for parishioners and guests to come in and browse. Since Rose Logsdon passed away, Mary Vaughn has picked up where she left off. A wide variety of religious items and gifts are available at low prices, and people come to Mary's Gift Shop from miles around, since there are no other Catholic gift shops anywhere in the immediate area.
Many donations from generous parishioners and friends, along with getting the best prices possible on ordered items have kept the profits at a healthy level. The mission of the gift shop has been changed so that profits are now used to help members of the parish as well as community members who are in need of assistance with utility bills, gas, etc. Mary's Gift Shop has paid out approximately $4,500.00 in charitable donations to needy families and individuals.
